Direct Financial Assistance Available in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland for Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnostic Services

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - February 11, 2009) - The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to providing direct financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured individuals for diagnostic tests to aid in the early detection and survival of breast cancer, announced today that funding is presently available in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland for those in need of screening services for breast cancer.

ABCF's Key to Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program provides direct assistance in the form of financial grants for annual mammogram screenings and breast cancer diagnostic tests. Each year, approximately 10,000 women and men nationwide receive services through the Key to Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program. Breast cancer patients may also be eligible for support items such as wigs, prosthesis and medications.
