Direct Selling Goes Digital With Fragmob Mobile Apps

Omnilife and Other Direct Sellers Partner With Fragmob to Drive Their Mobile Strategy

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 19, 2014) - With the move to mobile impacting most forms of sales, global giant Omnilife and other direct sellers have recently embraced this emerging technology by partnering with sales app solutions provider Fragmob to implement and support their mobile strategy. The Fragmob app turns a sales rep's smartphone into an immediate point of sale, a tracking system for orders, and a guide to the best sales and team coaching actions to take in real-time, all while tracking progress from many angles and providing unprecedented analytics intelligence.

Fragmob's new direct selling partners are part of an industry that quietly generates an estimated $33 billion in annual sales in the United States and $176 billion globally. An estimated 16.8 million people work in direct selling nationally. Internationally the figure tops 96 million. Omnilife-Angelissma is one of the biggest direct sellers globally with 6.5 million sales reps in 19 countries selling its health supplements, cosmetics and skin care products. Omnilife rolled-out the first phase of its sales app on the Frag DS platform earlier this month.

"Omnilife always wants to move beyond expectations, providing the best tools, technology and techniques to our sales force," Omnilife founder and owner Jorge Vergara said. "Fragmob is helping us offer our distributors a more effective way to do business while making Omnilife an example of the next generation of direct selling."

Last month health and nutritional products network marketing company Qivana began to roll-out its new white label Fragmob app available in the USA, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Four new direct selling clients will be launching Fragmob apps in Q1 of 2015.

"We white-label the Fragmob app, customize it to the client's needs and then actively support mobile strategy to ensure integration and adoption," Fragmob Executive Vice President Michel Bayan said. "We work strategically with our clients to make sure we're giving their sellers something they will be eager to use -- and use a lot. On average our active users open our apps 17 times a day."

The Fragmob app also gives its client companies the added value of crucial, never-before-seen data on the activity of their sales force.

"Imagine a modern sales organization that is blind to the process and practices its sellers employ. We're bringing direct selling to the information age, helping the industry catch-up with other industries in how it supports its sales people, measures their activities and improves efficiency," Bayan said. "With the digital edge, direct sellers can compete with new opportunities people have to supplement their income -- through Uber or Airbnb for example -- and attract a new generation of sellers, hungry for a chance to do more for themselves and their families."

To accommodate the demands from the increased number of clients, strong pipeline of business, and new product development, Fragmob has significantly strengthened its team, more than doubling the number of employees in the past six months including many quality veteran hires. Fragmob is backed by strong institutional firms and is exploring new funding options for scaling the business for faster growth and delivery of ever more valuable innovative products and services.
