The Director of UNIK Corporation Discuses What Effect Unemployment Being at an All Time High Will Have on the Marketing Industry

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - April 15, 2011) -

A correction is issued with respect to the release issued Apr 15, 2011 06:16 ET. The issuing company was listed as "Red or Blue" instead of "UNIK Corporation." The corrected release is as follows:

As the new financial year is upon us companies have been forced to review spending costs and many people from all industries have found themselves without a job. As unemployment within the U.K. hits an all time high the director of UNIK Corporation talks about how this will have a positive effect on the quality of people looking for opportunities to develop their own business.

Unemployment has reached a 17-year high of 2.53m and joblessness among young people is at record levels. The jobless total rose by 27,000 to 2.53m in the three months to January, the worst figure since 1994. The unemployment rate was 8 per cent of the workforce, the highest since last spring, up from 7.9 per cent in the previous quarter. These figures show that there are many talented people in the U.K. without employment. Due to the current growth in the marketing industry it is always looking for the brightest new talent and this current situation can provide an opportunity for business minded and driven people.

The TUC general secretary, Brendan Barber, called the figures "shocking". He said: "Over a year after the recession technically ended, unemployment is now at its highest level since the mid-1990s, with 2.53 million people out of work. While the fall in the numbers claiming the dole is welcome, the number of jobs available in the economy has also fallen and there are over a million people in part-time work seeking permanent jobs." These individuals looking for a move from part-time to full-time work are welcomed by the marketing industry as the sector is always on the lookout for hardworking talented people.

The director of UNIK feels that there can be a positive outcome from this as it gives an opportunity to grow his company using the skilful and knowledgeable people that have been involved within business before. This is a chance for the company to gain the talent and ambition from the unemployed and give them the opportunity to become successful business men and women.
