BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 10, 2013) - Directr, the fun and easy way for anyone to make great video, today launched Directr's Brilliant Creative Genius Video Series. The company that is reinventing the way you produce video that matters from just your phone, raised the curtain on a new series that showcases three exciting and prolific thinkers who are doing things that matter, including Alexis Ohanian, Reddit co-founder and the author of "Without Their Permission."

The Brilliant Creative Genius Video Series is Directr's way of recognizing and supporting incredible people that are doing remarkable things to make the world a better and more interesting place. To enhance the effort, Directr has also produced special companion storyboards for each Brilliant Creative Genius video, so that everyone can participate in and expand on the video-inspired conversations. For example, after watching Alexis Ohanian's story of launching Reddit "without permission," users can follow his lead and use a purpose-built storyboard to easily produce a video, and share the interesting things they have accomplished without permission.

The series' first three featured geniuses are: Shaun Hill, the founder of Hill Farmstead Brewery, which is rated the "Best Brewery in the World"; Karen Walrond, bestselling author, photographer, blogger and speaker; and Reddit's co-founder, Alexis Ohanian. Ohanian's video was entirely produced on the launch day of "Without Their Permission" and helped kick off his remarkable 150-stop, 75-university, 5 month long book tour. The video not only captures his boundless energy and innovative thinking, but also engages others to join his mission.

"At Directr we think radically about how to help anyone easily produce video that matters," said Max Goldman, Co-Founder and CEO of Directr. "The Brilliant Creative Genius Video Series is our way of showcasing others who put aside tradition and tackle monumental opportunities in novel ways."
