Discovery on UPINOR: DIOS Hits 2.064% U308 in the Outcropping Basement

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Feb. 26, 2008) - DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE:DOS) just received the first outcropping rock samples results from its UPINOR uranium property in the LaGuiche Basin, Quebec, Canada. Thirty-one basement rock samples taken last Fall on the A zone over a 2 km strike length and a 600 m width were assayed at the Saskatchewan Research Council and returned the following values, including high grade value up to 2.064% U3O8, 5 samples greater than 0.20% U3O8 (in a 200 m long area), 10 samples out of 31 greater than 0.10% U3O8, 9 samples between .05% and .097% U3O8, 5 samples between 0.02% and 0.05% U3O8. The whole assay table is available at the following address: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/dios0226.pdf

The A zone corresponds to an outcropping stratabound unit discovered last fall in the Laguiche sedimentary Basin, characterized by continuous radioactive high counts per seconds (cps) measured on the ground surface in the order of several thousands cps up to 36,000 cps over a 2 km strike length and a 600 m width. It consists of several radioactive outcropping sub-horizontal dykes (sills), one reaching some ten meters in thickness.

The significant A zone is a linear, lithological, east-west striking, 5 km by 0.2-0.5 km large geophysical anomaly showing high U/Th ratios, up to 3.0 times the background ratio. A Rossing-type high tonnage low-grade uranium model is considered in association with numerous anatexis-granites occuring within the LaGuiche paragneisses. The property hosts to date five first priority helicopterborne spectrometric uranium zones with good Uranium/Thorium ratios in association with structural features.

Major exploration targets will be field prospected such as the nose of the folded radioactive lithological unit, its extent on one flank from 2 km long observed in the field, now reaching 5 km on the spectrometric survey, and finally its whole southern flank.

The UPINOR uranium property totals over 500 map-designated mining cells. It is located about 30 kilometers north of the Opinaca Nord uranium project and about 50 km south of the Trans-Taiga road. The UPINOR project is held by DIOS in a 50-50 partnership with SIRIOS RESOURCES, and DIOS is the operator. Fieldwork was completed by IOS Services Geoscientifiques.
