Disney Casting Head Looking for Colorado Performers

See If You've Got What It Takes; Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity for Young Actors Comes to Colorado

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - March 12, 2008) - Disney Theatrical Productions Director of Casting and Talent Development, Jennifer Rudin, is coming to Boulder to scout new talent for upcoming productions -- a first for Colorado.

Rudin will be the guest artist at a workshop and master class held and sponsored by Broadway in Boulder and Parlando School for the Arts at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder. Rudin intends to use the workshop for educational purposes and to scout talented children ages 8-14, young adults ages 15-28 as well as character actors aged 40 and older for possible roles in Disney's "Mary Poppins," "The Little Mermaid," "High School Musical On Tour," and "The Lion King," among others.

"Jen Rudin brings a wealth of casting experience to Boulder both for theatrical productions and as former head of casting for Walt Disney Animation Studios where she cast animated feature films including 'Chicken Little,' 'The Incredibles,' 'Meet the Robinsons,' 'The Wild' and 'Brother Bear,'" said David Ayers, co-founder of Broadway in Boulder. "We're thrilled Jen's coming to see the talent in the Colorado region."

To qualify for Rudin's workshop, actors must first pass a preliminary audition at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder held on April 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th.

Audition requirements including music selection guidelines, registration forms and directions are available online at www.parlando.org. Registration forms must be received by April 3, 2008. Completed registration forms and questions should be submitted ASAP via email to disneyatparlando@gmail.com. Registrants will be contacted via email with the date and time of their auditions.

Performers who participate in the workshop on May 3rd and 4th will be required to pay a $100 fee to cover workshop expenses.
