Distributed-Power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA) Expands Membership to 15 Companies

DOSA Standard Extends Global Reach With Addition of CUI and Lucky Valley Technology

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - November 15, 2010) -  The Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA), a global association dedicated to furthering compatibility and standardization in the DC-DC board mounted power conversion market, today added Lucky Valley Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and CUI Inc. to its membership roster. CUI designs, manufactures, and markets electro-mechanical DC-DC converters and embedded power supplies for OEM manufacturers. Lucky Valley develops and manufactures high-end communication power products for OEMs.

"Lucky Valley's work with key Chinese OEM design centers will benefit from DOSA standardization," said Zhao Yanjun, CEO of Lucky Valley Technology Co., Ltd. "Our close collaboration with other Asian OEMs will help accelerate DOSA adoption worldwide."

"We thrive on being flexible in the power industry, striving to create long term, collaborative relationships with our customers," said Matt McKenzie, President of CUI Inc. "As a member of DOSA, we can leverage our growing global reach to promote DC-DC power conversion platform standardization utilizing our advanced technology for the benefit of our customers and members of the alliance."

"We are excited to have CUI and Lucky Valley join the DOSA membership lineup," said Niklas Fallgren, vice president and general manager of Lineage Power's Embedded OEM division. "Power design engineers worldwide can accelerate new product development schedules and assure reliability while also achieving supply chain and sourcing objectives through compatible and standardized board mounted power modules."

DOSA was founded in 2004, by Lineage Power and SynQor, to develop standards for DC-DC converters to ensure compatibility and facilitate second sourcing for customers. DOSA carries the mission of establishing standards over a broad range of power converter form factors, footprints, feature sets and functionality for both non-isolated point-of-load (POL) and isolated applications.
