Distributor Streamlines Sales and Warehouse to Increase Productivity and Speaks at AccountMate Annual Conference

NOVATO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 4, 2006 -- At the recent AccountMate Software Corporation's annual Reseller Conference, one of the main stage speakers was Tech Trading's President, Brian Tedesco. Tech Trading is a New Jersey wholesale distributor of copier and printer supplies that successfully runs their business on AccountMate accounting software. Wholesaling to large suppliers is a very high volume, low margin business with special requirements such as consolidated shipments. This presentation from a customer perspective was well received by AccountMate SYNERGY attendees.

Brian Tedesco's articulate presentation resonated with the audience as he talked about the details of the deliberate strategy, planning and implementation of AccountMate that went on between his company and their reseller Figtree Consulting. Brian was steadfast in his conviction that in order to maintain customer retention in his industry he had to assure delivery of competitive prices and reliable order fulfillment. Steve Rosenstein and Bill Papanestor of Figtree Consulting, Inc. worked closely with Tech Trading management and staff to build a system that streamlined Tech Trading sales and warehouse procedures to increase profit. They did this by modifying and enhancing AccountMate software to exactly fit Tech Trading's requirements as well as provide an order entry system that allowed for quick data entry and easy training.

Tech Trading required a sales order solution capable of automatically allocating available inventory to sales orders on a first come, first serve basis with the ability to override allocations. Automatic commitment of inventory to orders and printing of pick lists, consolidation orders, automatic credit hold, multi-level pricing and enforcement of minimum prices and minimum margins were essential to staying profitable.

During Brian's presentation he outlined how AccountMate's sophisticated inventory control gave his company many of the features that they needed to help them manage their business. In addition, Figtree Consulting integrated ACCU-DART software to simplify and provide real-time shipping and receiving from the warehouse with the accounting system. Container and pallet content information is captured using the handheld terminals and is available to the Starship software system for UPS shipments and to AccountMate to generate Packing Slips.

The RedTail Solution EDI interface was enhanced to adhere to Tech Trading's specific business rules for importing trading partner purchase orders in the Sales Order Module. The time consuming and cumbersome batch files used to run exports and imports were replaced by this fully integrated EDI solution. Importing EDI purchase orders, maintaining cross reference tables and handling exception reports is now a simple clerical function for Tech Trading staff.

A final Sales Analysis add-on solution was provided by Tech Trading's own reseller Figtree Consulting. It helps Tech Trading manage sales by providing a better information system to them to operate at more efficient levels and to handle more volume at higher profits.
