DLA Piper and Davis Finalize Combination in Canada

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - April 17, 2015) - DLA Piper LLP (US) and Davis LLP announced today that the firms have finalized their agreement to join forces as DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, an integrated part of DLA Piper's global platform and brand.

The combination unites the breadth of practices and industry experience of DLA Piper, one of the world's leading global law firms, with Davis, a firm with deep roots in the Canadian and international business communities.

Davis was founded in 1892 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The firm delivers services across seven offices in more than 50 practices, with historic areas of focus in energy, natural resources, infrastructure, development, transportation and the related corporate and finance areas.

DLA Piper's expansion into Canada continues the firm's strategy of delivering services to clients around the world and in the Americas, where the firm recently completed a combination with Gallastegui y Lozano, S.C. in Mexico.
