"One thing is already certain: The dmexco 2011 is going to be the biggest event since the beginning of digital marketing. There is no comparable event for the digital industry anywhere else in the world that can offer such variety or charisma. This is where a majority of Germany's turnover, an estimated six billion Euros, will be assigned," stated Frank Schneider, Director Marketing, Sales & Operations dmexco.

This year's dmexco is not only convincing with its record figures, but also due to the participation of global top players from the digital world: From the corporate sector, national and international brands will be represented such as Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, eBay, Yahoo!, Adobe, Telefonica O2, Payback and Google. Worldwide recognised industry specialists like Kenshoo, Videoplaza, Adconion, Fox, nugg.ad, Criteo, Ströer, Zanox will be on board, as well as major media companies, including ORF, Axel Springer, Bertelsmann, DuMont, Spiegel, Holtzbrinck, Bauer, Burda and Gruner + Jahr. All relevant marketers such as the members of the Online Marketing Circle (OVK) of the BVDW with the top five of the AGOF, InteractiveMedia, Tomorrow Focus, IP, SevenOne, United Internet Media as well as the leading industry agencies, for example Initiative Media Universal McCann and Pixelpark, will be closing ranks in Cologne this September. WerbeWeischer and ASS Radio will be exhibiting for the first time ever in the new Cross Media zone and RMS will also be present.

Over 4,000 employees will represent the exhibitors at the exhibition stands over the two dmexco days. More than 17,000 international trade visitors are expected to attend the event in Cologne. "This fantastic response underlines once again, the central significance that the dmexco has for the industry. Furthermore, in addition to successfully established customer events in the financial and pharmaceutical sector, we will have a fully booked Agency Lounge, where the media and creative agencies will entertain their top clients. We also want to use this year's dmexco to promote the start-up scene, by highlighting the founders' new business models directly on-site. It is definitely going to be worth a visit!" stated Frank Schneider. As the leading international expo and conference for digital business the dmexco will present all of the essential digital economic trends and developments from mobile marketing to e-Commerce -- at its first-class international expo and in the numerous conference formats.

Volker Helm, CEO of the dmexco exhibitor, Initiative Media, confirms the high relevance of the event for the entire industry: "The digital business is extremely decisive for the whole industry, because many transactions are carried out by the consumers via the Internet. This trend is going to grow in the future, because trends like paying for things with a Smartphone, in a similar way to paying for things with a credit card, are going to hit the German market soon too. The dmexco makes a decisive contribution here, because it introduces the new forms of digital business and gives us a good understanding of them."

Etai Rosen, VP Sales Kenshoo, exhibitor at dmexco: "Digital has become an integrated part of our life. Facebook profiles are now part of our personality, Smartphones enable to connect and share 24/7. Retailers that can take the next step to close and understand the funnel from ad to conversion across all media will have an advantage as we become more digitally interconnected. We see dmexco as being the spark that will launch retail into the next generations as brands and technologies connect."
