HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - November 15, 2016) - Seeking new knowledge, learning from others, and delivering innovative solutions are the foundations for DNV GL's Technology Week.
Each year, DNV GL hosts a series of seminars geared toward technical leaders across the maritime and oil and gas industries. Paal Johansen, VP Region Americas Maritime noted that, "after sixteen years, we're proud of the continuous growth through this event. Most of all, we are excited to see customers collaborate and leave our campus with a renewed focus and solutions in-hand."
Setting this event apart is its structure. Participants are broken up into small groups and challenged to openly collaborate and explore innovative solutions to problems. Guided through topics by thought leaders, ideas are challenged, generated, and formed.
"We continue to seek out new ways where we are able to collaborate with customers in order to accelerate innovation and technology in the region, and around the world. Based in Houston, this event allows clients a first-hand look at some of the new technologies available today that will likely shape the future of the oil & gas and maritime industries," said Peter Bjerager, EVP for Region Americas, DNV GL - Oil & Gas.
Overall, this year's event included more than 300 participants from more than 100 companies. Topics addressed included:
- Alternative fuels for Maritime
- Subsea materials testing & assessment for HPHT applications
- DNV GL's new standards for marine operations: DNV GL-ST-N001 and DNV GL-ST-N002
- Jack-up site-specific assessments
