Do At The Zoo to Feature Eclectic Musical Entertainment

Fabulous Boogienauts, Steve Manshel, Megan Burtt and More to Perform at Denver Zoo's Largest Annual Fundraiser

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - April 22, 2015) - A variety of locally-renowned artists and musical groups will hit the stage at Denver Zoo's 26th annual Do At The Zoo gala on June 18, including The Fabulous Boogienauts, Megan Burtt & the Cure for Love, Steve Manshel, Matt Spinks Trio and Soul Sacrifice: A Tribute to Santana. Presented by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Denver's favorite summer party and Denver Zoo's largest fundraiser will feature live entertainment for guests of all musical tastes. All proceeds from this event will support the Zoo's education initiatives.

The Fabulous Boogienauts, a 10-piece funk and disco band, is one of five musical acts that make Do At The Zoo such an anticipated event. Westword Magazine described the group, which was once the house band for the Denver Nuggets basketball team, and their performances as "high-energy" and "theatrical." Those looking to dance and groove won't want to miss this band.

Also performing is Megan Burtt & the Cure for Love. The singer-songwriter's music has been compared to that of Norah Jones and Ingrid Michaelson by Westword Magazine. Burtt has performed at famous venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and she even earned the opportunity to play alongside the Denver Colorado Symphony at Boettcher Concert Hall this year.

The entertainment doesn't stop there, though. Also making an appearance is rock, country and pop artist, Steve Manshel, a local and veteran entertainer who has performed alongside musical legends such as Fleetwood Mac and The Doobie Brothers. The eclectic and versatile Matt Spinks Trio will perform as well. Guests also won't want to miss Soul Sacrifice: A Tribute to Santana, which will be covering all of the best hits of guitar virtuoso Santana.

Join Denver's wild party animals for the Zoo's best gala ever, featuring more than 60 of Denver's top restaurants serving their best menu items. Guests also will experience live music, dancing and close-up animal encounters in the incomparable setting of Denver Zoo at twilight.

This event kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, with a VIP party that includes dinner provided by special VIP caterer, Chef Jennifer Jasinski of Crafted Concepts, offering foods from restaurants Rioja, Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen, Bistro Vendome and Stoic & Genuine. Gates will open at 7 p.m. for regular ticket holders. Denver Zoo will close at noon on June 18 to set up for the gala. Tickets for the event are on sale now at

Proceeds from this year's event support Denver Zoo's education efforts, which aim to ignite a passion for science in young children through formal and informal programs at the Zoo, as well as outreach in the community. Each year, the Zoo's Education department serves roughly 215,000 individuals through its programs, which bring science education to life.
