Do IT Smarter Achieves MSP Alliance Accreditation

Do IT Smarter to Act as Training Center for MSAP Exam

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2007) - Do IT Smarter of San Diego (, a distributor of managed services for small business VARs, today announced that it has successfully completed and passed the MSP Alliance Managed Services Accreditation Program. A formal announcement about the accreditation will be made at the MSP Alliance Fall Conference in San Jose on Monday, September 24th.

Do IT Smarter has also been chosen by MSP Alliance as an official training center for the MSAP exam. MSP Alliance and Do IT Smarter have developed a training curriculum and comprehensive program that other VARs and MSPs can work through in order to successfully pass the MSAP exam, if they have their own NOC. Companies that don't have their own NOC can receive accreditation status just by using Do IT Smarter's NOC.

Do IT Smarter will be working strategically with AIG Insurance. AIG will be providing business insurance policies, covering customer data and information stored within the client's accredited NOC or the Do IT Smarter NOC. Coupled with Do IT Smarter's strategic relationships with vendors/partners such as Service-Now, SonicWall and Xerox, this establishes Do IT Smarter as the leading master MSP in the industry.

"By using Do IT Smarter's NOC, other MSPs can finally take and pass the MSAP exam without having to absorb the cost of building one themselves," said Charles Weaver, president of MSP Alliance. "This model will help to grow the MSAP standard while at the same time preserving the high standards end-users have come to expect from accredited MSPs."

In December 2005, Do IT Smarter developed its 'Instant-MSP' program designed to lower the barrier for entry into remote managed services and remediation for small-sized VARs and service providers. The Instant-MSP program allows VARs to offer managed services to their customers while Do IT Smarter runs the backend infrastructure. In all cases the VARs still manage their daily customer relationships and will handle situations that call for onsite remediation.

Do IT Smarter services are offered through third-party partnerships. These services and partnerships include:

--  Remote NOC and monitoring services via our US-based team;
--  Enterprise Help Desk and incident management via our US-based team;
--  Email Security via MX Logic;
--  Web Security via MX Logic;
--  Managed firewall service via SonicWall GMS;
--  Xerox Managed Print Services

"The real beneficiaries of this new development in our company's evolution are our Instant-MSP clients," said Don Begg, CEO, Do IT Smarter. "Now, still for only a few hundred per month, VARs can add a level of confidence and trust to what they offer their customers that should really drive new business."
