DoceoTech and e-magine Launch WiMAX Technical Online Training

VENETIA, PA--(Marketwire - September 21, 2007) - DoceoTech and e-magine communications announce the release of online WiMAX technical training. The first class, titled "WiMAX MAC and PHY Technical Overview," will be available via the DoceoTech online training center on October 1, 2007. The DoceoTech eLearning center can be accessed via

The class is a technical overview of the Medium Access Control (MAC) and Physical (PHY) layers within WiMAX. The class covers WiMAX network architecture, processes for network entry, technical advantages of WiMAX MAC and PHY and closes with industry drivers for adoption and the economic benefits of Mobile WiMAX. The self-paced class includes approximately 1.5 hours of material and includes a comprehensive online WiMAX eGlossary™, notes, search capabilities and interactive assessments. The embedded WiMAX eGlossary™ is a useful reference and includes graphics, flash animation and full audio for more than 200 WiMAX terms. A version of this course will accompany the WiMAX Forum® RF Network Engineer™ Certification Boot Camp taught by DoceoTech around the world.

"This course grew from the need to prepare students with the baseline WiMAX technical knowledge they need to hit the ground running in our boot camp courses. We've designed it for that prerequisite need, and also as a standalone technical overview for engineers needing something more than a technology briefing but less than an entire two-day course," said John Swart, President of DoceoTech.

"The multimedia class presents a good overview with detailed discussions of the technical and economic drivers for WiMAX," said David Neumann, President of e-magine. "This self-paced online class is provided on a subscription basis so the students have access to replay and review sections as they wish." A WiMAX online demonstration class is available at:
