Dockers® San Francisco Joins Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Dockers® Brand Introduces New Women's Apparel Collection -- Khakis for the Cause -- During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 26, 2007) - Today, Dockers® San Francisco announced they have signed a national partnership agreement with the largest nonprofit funding source for breast health and breast cancer in the U.S., Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to aid them in their promise to end breast cancer forever. The agreement includes a minimum $100,000 pledge, which will be raised through a new apparel line that will launch during October, breast cancer awareness month. In addition, Dockers® San Francisco has designated support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure as its number one community initiative, officially incorporating plans to support the fight against breast cancer into the fabric of the brand.

"Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the number one breast cancer organization globally, and has made amazing strides in the fight against breast cancer," said John Goodman, brand president, Dockers® San Francisco. "We are proud to assist in their mission of stamping out breast cancer once and for all."

On October 1, the Dockers® brand is launching Khakis for the Cause, a collection of three apparel items for women focused on generating breast cancer awareness and marked by a distinctive pink band in the inside of the shirt collars and pant waistbands. For each Komen product purchased, $1 will go directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Khakis for the Cause consists of the Komen cargo shirt ($38 retail), the short sleeve Komen polo ($28 retail), and the Komen khaki pant ($46 retail). All items will be available in various colors on Dockers.com and in Dockers® retail stores. Currently, the brand operates stores in San Francisco, Tampa, and Philadelphia, with plans to expand to Washington D.C. by the end of October, and Freehold, NJ by January 2008.

"Through our partnership with the Dockers® brand, we are simultaneously tapping into women's love of fashion and their desire to make a difference," said Katrina McGhee, vice president of marketing, Susan G. Komen for the Cure. "This is an exciting way to empower people to contribute to our collective effort to discover and deliver the cures for breast cancer."

About Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
