Document Capture Names Jacques F. vonBechmann Senior VP of Sales

Industry Veteran Brings Extensive Sales and Marketing Expertise to Company's Key Global Markets

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2011) - Document Capture Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: DCMT), an IP-driven leader in the design, development, manufacture and sale of advanced imaging technologies, today announced the appointment of Jacques F. vonBechmann to the position of Senior Vice President, Sales.

Mr. vonBechmann's impressive marketing expertise in the pharmaceutical, consumer products, technology and finance sectors will grow and enhance sales in the Company's key global markets.

Mr. vonBechmann has held executive positions in sales and marketing for companies ranging from Internet start-ups to Fortune 100. Most recently he was SVP of sales and marketing for Home Care Delivered, Inc. and has held executive positions at Allergan, Inc., Cendant Corporation, and Allianz. As well, he has worked closely with Capital One, Bank One, Qwest, Columbia HCA and several top-tier airline companies.

Mr. vonBechmann received his MBA degree from The College of William and Mary and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Richmond in the areas of Marketing, Economics and Leadership.

Document Capture's patented technology provides high quality images at extremely low power consumption levels in a compact package. DCT also provides a comprehensive suite of proprietary software development tools that support and facilitate the accelerated integration of their document capture products with new and existing applications.
