Dominus Selected to Develop Brampton's Southwest Quadrant

Significant Revitalization to Continue Downtown Renewal

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - Dominus Construction Group is proud to be named as the City of Brampton's long-term partner for the development of the City's historic Southwest Quadrant.

"We are very proud to have been selected to undertake this important revitalization," says Joe Cordiano, principal of Dominus Construction Group. "The Southwest Quadrant Renewal Plan is truly an exciting and challenging project and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the City of Brampton to bring this project to fruition."

The important project aims to contribute to the revitalization of Brampton's core, centralize civic employees in the historic downtown, anticipate and accommodate the future growth of City administration and to ensure that Brampton is recognized as an employer of choice, all while controlling space costs and ensuring value-for-money for taxpayers.

Phase 1 of the 3-phase project is scheduled to be completed in 2014 and will include the construction of a 9-storey, mixed-use signature building on George Street with more than 16,000 square feet of retail space.

"We share the City's vision of a memorable downtown experience," says Mr. Cordiano. "Our team at Dominus knows this is about more than designing and building physical facilities. We will create vibrant, animated, pedestrian-friendly streetscapes that will also attract new business, residents, consumers, visitors and employees to the downtown core."
