Don Tapscott To Kick Off SXSW Interactive 2012

The opening presentation at the 19th annual SXSW Interactive Festival, March 9 – 13, 2012 in Austin, Texas will be given by best selling author, and authority on new media and innovation, Don Tapscott.

In his featured presentation, Don will discuss the current global and economic crisis and how social media can help us rebuild many of the organizations and institutions that have served our civilization for centuries but are now failing.

SXSW Interactive has earned the reputation as a breeding ground for new ideas and creative technologies. In 2012, over 19,000 attendees are expected to be in attendance.

Don will be signing his latest books Macrowikinomics, Wikinomics and Grown Up Digital at the SX Bookstore following his session. Macrowikinomics was shortlisted for the 2011 Thinker50 Best Book Award.
