Donnybrook Energy Inc.-Update on Resthaven Horizontal Drilling Activities


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 4, 2011) - Malcolm Todd, Chief Executive Officer of Donnybrook Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DEI) reports that the Cequence HZ Simonette well (DEI 25% BPO; 50% APO) reached Total Measured Depth of 4,470 metres with a horizontal length through the Montney formation of 1,315 metres on December 29th, 2010. The drilling rig was released on January 2, 2011. It is estimated that completion and fracture operations will take place around mid January 2011.

Donnybrook Energy also reports that the DEI HZ Resthaven well (DEI 70%) spud on December 31, 2010. Operations are underway to run and cement surface casing. Drilling will continue targeted towards the Montney formation.

Donnybrook Energy now owns working interests in 46 gross sections (30 net sections) of Montney petroleum and natural gas rights in its core area of the Alberta Deep Basin.
