Doors Open to Arts and Heritage in Huron County

Government of Canada supports Doors Open Huron County


GODERICH, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 30, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing the Huron Arts & Heritage Network with $12,200 through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to support the 4th edition of Doors Open Huron County. With this funding, Doors Open Huron County will present music and theatrical performances, visual art exhibitions, and heritage site walking tours.

Ben Lobb, Member of Parliament (Huron-Bruce), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • The event will be held September 13 and 14, 2014, at various locations across Huron County, Ontario.

  • The event will include a stained-glass window tour, architectural walking tours, and a speakers' series featuring local historians.

  • Each of the heritage sites will feature arts programming, including music concerts, visual arts and craft exhibits, or theatre performances.
