Dorman Releases More Formerly "Dealer Only" Parts to the Aftermarket

COLMAR, PA--(Marketwire - November 26, 2010) - Dorman Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: DORM), has just released over 100 new products this month, featuring over 50 Formerly "Dealer Only" parts that were previously unavailable in the Aftermarket. These are the latest of the nearly 2,000 new products introduced in 2010. Instead of going to the Dealer, professional Technicians and vehicle owners can now source items such as Column Shift Repair Kits, Snap-In Plastic Backed Mirror Glass, Body Mount Kits and Suspension Track Bars from their Aftermarket parts supplier.

The Column Shift Repair Kit contains a Shift Lever Bracket that connects the Shift Lever to the Shift Linkage on Ford Explorers and Mercury Mountaineers from 2002-2005. This part fails from wear, resulting in the inability to shift the vehicle into gear. The Dorman part reduces repair costs by allowing just the failed part to be replaced, not the entire Steering Column Assembly.

Dorman Snap-In Plastic Backed Mirror Glass is a direct replacement and provides an alternative to replacing the entire mirror assembly. Simply snap out the old, broken glass and replace it with the new Dorman part, which includes a backing plate for snap-in replacement.
