DotNetNuke Corp. Names Revenue Building Veteran Bob Cortale to Senior Vice President of Sales


SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - January 27, 2011) -   DotNetNuke Corp., the company behind the most widely adopted Web Content Management Platform for Microsoft .NET, today announced that Bob Cortale has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales, where he will be responsible for building, developing and managing a world-class global sales force and product support organization.

Prior to joining DotNetNuke Corp., Cortale was Vice President of Sales at VeriSign, Incorporated, a provider of Internet infrastructure services, where he managed a sales team of more than 120 representatives in seven offices across four continents in the company's Business Authentication division. During his five-year tenure, Cortale's teams drove revenue growth from $190 million to more than $265 million in a mature market.

Before VeriSign, Cortale was Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing in the Consumer Products Division of InfoUSA, a provider of end-to-end marketing solutions for small-and medium-size businesses. While at InfoUSA, Cortale was responsible for general management of SMB direct sales and retail reseller organizations where he consistently exceeded sales goals and increased retail reseller revenue by 85% during his first 18 months alone.

Cortale also held multiple sales and executive management positions at Caere Corporation, a leader in the design, production, and distribution of optical character recognition-based information management hardware and software products. At Caere, Cortale grew revenue from zero to $50 million and drove enterprise penetration efforts with the company's core product, resulting in product standardizations with more than two hundred Fortune 500 accounts.
