DotNetNuke Corp. Opens Call for Papers for the DotNetNuke World 2011

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 1, 2011) - DotNetNuke Corp. (http://www.dotnetnuke.com), the company behind the most widely adopted Web Content Management Platform for Microsoft® .NET, today announced that the Call for Papers for DotNetNuke World 2011 is now open and accepting abstracts through 5 p.m. PDT on June 8, 2011. DotNetNuke World 2011 is scheduled to take place November 9-11, in Orlando, Fla.

Formerly DotNetNuke Connections, and hosted in conjunction with DevConnections in past years, DotNetNuke World is the company's annual user conference specifically designed for developers, web designers, administrators, business decision makers, and end users on the DotNetNuke platform. DotNetNuke Corp. has introduced more affordable pricing and moved the conference to make it more accessible to DotNetNuke enthusiasts from outside North America.

The theme for this year's conference is "The Cloud, Mobile and Social Revolution."
DotNetNuke community members are encouraged to submit speaker proposals on one of four topics:

  • Development - Whether it is a session on module development or building custom providers or dissecting the internals of DotNetNuke, anything that would appeal to the software coders is fair game.
  • Design - Targeted at web designers, this goes beyond just talking about skins. It also includes topics like progressive enhancement, adaptive design, accessibility, SEO, and can even include Localization. These sessions should focus more on the aesthetic and usability aspects of building a DotNetNuke website.
  • Administration - Prospective speakers should present sessions that address the needs of the end user -- from site administrators to content editors. From demonstrating techniques for ensuring optimal system performance, to discussing cloud-hosting options, or even showing how to leverage DotNetNuke modules for maximum affect, this is the track for administrators. These sessions are intended to focus on the day-to-day use and administration of running a DotNetNuke website.
  • Business - Designed to show business decision makers how DotNetNuke can solve their real world challenges, abstracts for this track should highlight interesting business issues that users were able to resolve, either for themselves or their customers. Sessions should provide insight into how to build a successful DotNetNuke business.

DotNetNuke World 2011 will include two full days of conference sessions, including content for creative, technical, and business audiences. A day of pre-conference workshops will also be offered for an additional fee.
