Downsview Park Karting Championship Races to the Finish Line

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 7, 2007) - Parc Downsview Park Inc. and Grand Prix Kartways go full-throttle on September 14-16, 2007, with the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series - bringing high-adrenaline sport to Canada's national urban park.

Recognized by the Indy Racing League, the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series features amateur and professional racers from Ontario's kart clubs competing all weekend to be named the fastest in their class.

"Over 200 championship contenders from all over the province will converge at Downsview Park to show off their karts and share their love for this exhilarating sport," said Brian Stewart, Canadian motor sport Hall of Fame Inductee. "We're really happy to bring our speedway to Downsview Park right in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area."

Downsview Park is the proud home of Grand Prix Kartways - a racing amusement centre, featuring emissions-free go-karting, slot car racing, arcades and a family-friendly sports themed restaurant.

The Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series special event at Downsview Park is sponsored by Yogen Fruz, Scarborough Mitsubishi, North West Hyundai, A to Z Capital Corp., Quickpicsonline, Mitographics Inc. and Pepsi-Cola Canada Ltd.

General admission grandstand seating is available for $5 on Friday, $10 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. Paddock passes are available for $10 each.
