Downsview Park Offers FREE Family Fun This Canada Day

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 20, 2008) - Downsview Park invites you to put away your wallet, gather your friends and family and celebrate our nation's birthday with free activities, free food and an amazing display of fireworks at Canada's national urban park in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area.

From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Downsview Park's Canada Day celebration features a full day of FREE activities and entertainment including amusement rides, petting zoo, climbing wall, face painters, balloon artists, workshops for kids, fire buskers and FREE food (hot dogs, ice cream, bottled water and slushies) while quantities last. Entertainment includes a Caribbean Pan band, a fire busker show, an 1812 historical military reenactment and other musical performances. Downsview Park's annual Canada Day celebration ends with a bigger and better display of fireworks, lighting up the night sky with a kaleidoscope of colours!
