Downtown Kansas City's Premier Art Festival Returns This May With a New Date

Top Local & National Artists to Exhibit Wide Variety of Original Art

KANSAS CITY, MO--(Marketwire - May 19, 2011) - Art Festival producer Howard Alan Events and The Kansas City Power & Light District are excited to announce a new date for their yearly signature juried art festival. The 2011 Downtown Art Annual is scheduled for May 20 - 22, 2011, in Downtown Kansas City's Power & Light District. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Kansas City Power & Light District hosts the three-day juried art fair yearly which transforms this popular shopping and dining destination into a first-rate outdoor art gallery while attracting locals and tourists alike. Howard Alan Events, the art festival's promoter, features the finest artists in the country with their original works of art. The artistic media represented include paintings, sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, and ceramics with prices ranging from $25 hand-designed earrings to $30,000 metal sculptures.

"The Power & Light District is an ideal setting for this premier art affair," says festival promoter Howard Alan.
