Dr. Jelena Srebric, Ph.D., Associate Professor at Penn State University, Joins Windtamer Design Team

ROCHESTER, NY--(Marketwire - July 15, 2010) -  WindTamer Corporation ("WindTamer" or the "Company") (OTCBB: WNDT) announced today that Dr. Jelena Srebric, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering and Adjunct Professor of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania, has agreed to become a consultant to the Company.

Dr. Srebric holds a Ph.D. in Building Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also holds both a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Belgrade in Belgrade, Serbia.

While at Penn State University, Dr. Srebric has developed software for green building design and has done extensive research on diffuser technology and on the utilization of naturally occurring wind tunnels in urban environments.

Dr. Srebric said that, "After several meetings and discussions with WindTamer management, including an on-site visit to WindTamer's headquarters to see the turbine first-hand and meet with the WindTamer team, I believe this is an exciting new technology combined with an impressive management and engineering team. I look forward to working with WindTamer to enhance the technology and also to provide advice and ideas in terms of integrating the WindTamer technology into urban environments and green building design, which are areas of great interest to me."

William A. Schmitz, Chief Executive Officer of WindTamer, said that, "Dr. Srebric's areas of expertise are a perfect fit for WindTamer, and we are both pleased and honored that she will be working with us."

WindTamer also announced that it has entered into a consulting agreement with Garry P. Haltof. Mr. Haltof is the co-inventor of the WindTamer patent, U.S. No. 6,655,907, issued in 2003. Mr. Haltof has over 30 years of experience in product design engineering.

WindTamer also said that following extensive wind tunnel testing under the direction of Adeeb Saba, and several design changes suggested by consultant Dr. Kenneth D. Visser, Associate Professor at Clarkson University, and others, the performance of the turbines has improved significantly since the Company determined in May 2010 that the turbines were not performing to product specifications.

"We are very pleased with the improved performance achieved by the turbine to this point," said Mr. Schmitz. "I can say with confidence that WindTamer's value proposition has improved significantly, and that it now makes economic sense for our customers. I have every expectation that our turbines' performance will continue to improve and its cost to manufacture will continue to decline from here."

Mark Matthews, WindTamer's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said, "My sales team is now closing sales to the new demonstrated performance that our customers can be confident in. Commercial, multi-unit sales have been delayed primarily because of the product redesign, but we are back on track and I am optimistic that we will close significant commercial and government transactions in the coming months."
