Dr. John Forrest Named Deputy Chairman of the Board of OmniGlobe Networks

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 19, 2007) - OmniGlobe Networks-a rapidly growing provider of broadband Internet via satellite and wireless with global coverage-announces the addition of Dr. John Forrest to its Board of Directors, and his appointment as Deputy Chairman. Dr. Forrest brings to OmniGlobe a wealth of commercial experience in strategic direction and technology development and deployment, and has worked with many companies in the "high tech" sector, as an advisor, board member, Chief Executive Officer or chairman over the past twenty years.

OmniGlobe Networks' close relationship with Dr. John Forrest began in 2006 while closing second round private investments. Over the past year, a close synergy between both parties has evolved, leading to official agreements in December of 2006. "We're delighted and proud to have Dr. Forrest join the OmniGlobe Networks team," said Dr. Jason Neale, CEO of OmniGlobe. "He brings a track record of delivering international success and will be a key contributor to the growth, strategy and long term success of our company."

"OmniGlobe is a fascinating company with a highly innovative technology," said Dr. Forrest. "The company's broadband access services provide the world's most remote communities with a viable and affordable alternative to unattainable terrestrial communications. These communities are at a disadvantage both socially and economically because they lack the communication tools to participate and conduct business in the world's global economy. OmniGlobe's solutions eliminate this disconnect and enable these communities to move forward in their economic and social development as well as their cultural understanding of world issues. I'm very excited about joining OmniGlobe Networks."

About Dr. John Forrest

Following the completion of his doctorate at Oxford University in the UK, Dr. Forrest's distinguished career began at Stanford University in California where he worked in the famous Microwave Laboratory for three years before returning to the UK to lecture and conduct research at the University of London. He formed a research group, which focused on new techniques for communications and radar, including advanced phased array antennas for satellites. Much of the research was supported by agencies around the world, including the US Air Force and Navy, the UK defense and communications sector, and industrial companies such as Philips and General Electric.

In 1984 Dr. Forrest joined the Marconi Company as vice-president of technology, with a mandate for advanced technology R&D. This was followed by an appointment to head up the engineering and operations activities of the commercial broadcasting sector in the UK, with the key responsibility for the transmission of radio, television and satellite services. From there he founded the major UK communications company NTL, as a buy-out from the UK government. The growth of NTL was an exciting period for Dr. Forrest as he pushed the company strongly into digital technology for broadcasting, being a founding member of the European digital video-broadcasting group (DVB), which established the current international standards for digital broadcasting.

Dr. Forrest continued his career in the investment and merchant banking community as a board member of the international venture capital group, 3i. Over the past ten years, Dr. Forrest has worked with many "high tech" companies and has helped transition a number of them through IPO on the AIM and NASDAQ markets.
