Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani Appointed as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at UCF College of Medicine

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Jun 16, 2015) - The University of Central Florida College of Medicine recently appointed Jon Paul Trevisani, MD, FACS as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery. The Orlando plastic surgeon says he is eager to share his experience and skill set with the university's future physicians. In his new role, Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani will be working with third and fourth year UCF medical students, acting as an educational resource and clinical role model. The students he mentors have selected to incorporate a surgical rotation as an elective in their overall curriculum. Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani shares his skills and experience with these students, allowing them to expand their surgical knowledge.

To be considered as an appointed faculty member, Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani's credentials and experience were carefully reviewed, and final approval from the Provost of the University was required. Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani says he is grateful and excited for the opportunity to give back to the community through this new position. The appointment is considered a volunteer role, so he does not receive financial compensation from UCF.

Outside of the university, Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani is the Medical Director at the Aesthetic Surgery Centre, his Orlando plastic surgery practice. He performs a variety of surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including mommy makeover, tummy tuck, and BOTOX® Cosmetic. However, Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani explains that breast procedures such as breast lift, breast augmentation, and breast reduction are his surgical specialty. 

Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani says it brings him great joy to be able to contribute to his students' medical education through his role as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery. He looks forward to continuing to work with the university, and hopes to inspire his students to have a passion for surgery and compassionate patient care.
