Dr. Patino to Present at the 9th Annual American Society of Cosmetic Physicians

Transumbilical Breast Augmentation

EL CERRITO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 23, 2014) - Dr. Gabriel Patino from El Cerrito, California will present at the 9th Annual American Society of Cosmetic Physicians (ASOCP) conference being held in Scottsdale, Arizona this week. This five-day conference offers lectures from leaders in the field of cosmetic surgery and they asked Dr. Patino to share his expertise on Transumbilical Breast Augmentation, an endoscopic procedure with less scarring since the incision is made in the belly button.

"I am honored to be speaking at this year's ASOCP conference and further educate my fellow colleagues about the various benefits of Transumbilical breast augmentation and how this procedure has provided an alternative for women seeking a faster recovery time with less risk and complications," said Dr. Patino, Cosmetic Surgical Center of El Cerrito.

Transumbilical breast augmentation or TUBA, involves introducing a breast implant from the belly button using the abdominal area to get the implants up to the breast area. The operation takes about 30-40 minutes which is shorter than a traditional breast implant procedure and therefore shortens the amount of time a patient is under anesthesia. The TUBA procedure also has a low risk of infection and other complications.

"I love being a cosmetic surgeon and with my multi-specialty training and experience in General Surgery, Emergency Open Heart Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Cosmetic Surgery, I feel I can contribute to the further education of my colleagues," said Dr. Patino. Adding, "as new technologies and procedures are always emerging, like the TUBA procedure, I am always looking to further my own training and this is what I am hoping to do with my participation at this annual conference."

Dr. Patino has helped countless women and men enhance their appearance through safe and personalized cosmetic treatment options. His extensive experience as a general surgeon and cosmetic surgeon, as well as his commitment to his patients, makes him a natural choice for cosmetic surgery in Oakland, Berkeley, and the surrounding areas of California.
