Dr. Will Ford of Predixion Software to Speak at Big Data TechCon in Boston

Sessions Will Share Insights on MLSM and Big Data Use Cases

ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 23, 2015) - Predixion Software, a developer of cloud-based predictive analytics (PA) software, today announced that Dr. Will Ford, director, expert services at Predixion Software, will be presenting two sessions at Big Data TechCon held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts, April 26-28. Ford will deliver a presentation on "The Machine Learning Semantic Model" on Monday, April 27 and "Getting Started in Big Data Science Consulting" on Tuesday, April 28.

Monday April 27, 1:30 - 2:45 pm ET "The Machine Learning Semantic Model"
Abstract: With big data and the volume-variety-velocity issues that come along with it, semantic models -- data source-agnostic frameworks to describe transformations -- have increased in relevance. We have made extensions to the concept of a semantic model to include machine learning. This methodology allows for predictive analytics to be performed on a workstation, in a client-server mode, and also to be performed and deployed to Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Tuesday April 28, 1:00 - 2:15 pm ET "Getting Started in Big Data Science Consulting"
Abstract: Learn from existing open-source projects how to build proof-of-concept solutions. Social Networks, Recommendation Engines, Personalization, Dating Sites, Job Boards, Permission Resolution and Access Control, Routing and Pathfinding, and Disambiguation are just a few of the possible applications. The primary focus of this class will be to walk through the process of going from concept to completion of a BDS consulting engagement.
