COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - August 31, 2016) - A major overhaul to the Beachwood city schools website has increased parent engagement and improved efficiency.
The retooled site was developed by eSchoolView, Beachwood's longtime host and provider. The Columbus-based team worked with district officials to relaunch the site so the online presence best reflected the school system's culture.
"Our 'freshen up' became an entirely new, content driven site which communicates clearly to our intended audiences," Shana Wallenstein, development and interim communications director, said.
Beachwoodschools.org now features short, rolling video vignettes of students, staff and community, rather than a combination of static images, video, text and other graphics. Information on the homepage was often hard to find as various components competed for attention.
"The minute our new site went up, the positive feedback began to pour in," Wallenstein said. "Everyone loves the clean lines and look of the new site and because of the work done on the back end, pages flow in a much more orderly and thoughtful way."
Aside from a dramatic new appearance, navigation is vastly improved. The site is organized with the end-user in mind so those who visit have a very clear direction for finding the information they need.
The site features sections for students, parents, alumni and athletics, and highlights the calendar, news and schools with easy-to-find buttons on every page. Likewise, social sharing buttons are located at the top of each page, along with a dedicated login for staff.
"We work diligently with each client to make certain their sites function in a manner that best serves their community," eSchoolView Executive Director Rob O'Leary said. "In Beachwood's case, they asked us to create a powerful site that captures the true essence of the district and tells a clear story about the energy and dedication within its schools."
eSchoolView builds responsive websites with a Content Management System it created specifically for K-12 schools and educational organizations. It also develops educational management software-facilities management, school store, calendaring, emergency alerts, streaming video-that works in conjunction with the CMS.
OneView, eSchoolView's newest tool, was created directly from customer feedback to enhance data integration. The software helps districts increase internal efficiency and parent engagement by pushing and pulling-with one login-student database information (enrollment details, health records, athletic eligibility) from various student information systems (SIS) such as ProgressBook, PowerSchool, InfiniteCampus and eSchoolPlus.
eSchoolView was created in 2008. Since then, its revenue growth lands the company on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S. for the third consecutive year. CIOReview recently named eSchoolView as one of 50 Most Promising Education Tech Solution Providers.
