Dress Code Is Pink Pajamas for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Estroven® and the Avon Foundation for Women Partner Again to Sleep Pink for Ladies' Night In

CROMWELL, CT--(Marketwired - October 01, 2014) - Nearly 100,000 women between the ages of 45 and 64 are diagnosed with breast cancer annually[1], which means that menopause-aged women are at a substantially increased risk. This statistic shows the harsh reality of breast cancer that three years ago prompted Estroven®, the safe, multi-symptom menopause relief solution*, to create Sleep Pink which uses pink-themed pajama parties to raise awareness and funds for the Avon Foundation for Women, which raises funds to advance access to quality breast health care, research towards prevention and understanding metastatic breast cancer, and ultimately find a cure.

Held annually during October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Estroven's Sleep Pink initiative -- which has seen pink-pajama-clad participation from Baltimore to Wyoming, including network anchors wearing pink robes on camera -- will once again challenge participants to host pink parties or share "selfies" in pink pajamas across social media channels and on SleepPink.com, for which donations to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer are made. The program seeks to bring together those affected by breast cancer through sharing stories, supporting breast cancer education, as well as celebrating breast cancer survivors and the drive to find a cure.

"Sleep Pink supports women who are going through difficult times and similar changes during this transformative stage in life and invites them to come together to galvanize support for one another in the fight against breast cancer," says April Mills, Marketing Director at i-Health, maker of Estroven. "We're excited to once again see how this program becomes a forum of encouragement for those affected by the disease and celebration for the day that we will see it eradicated."

Estroven will pledge $250 to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for each party photo submitted, and $100 for every image uploaded of an individual in his or her pink pajamas^. The program's website will provide party planning advice from returning Sleep Pink party planning expert, Chris Nease with inspiration for décor, food and drink recipes, entertainment and party favors.

To create greater awareness, Estroven has created limited edition packaging for retail stores nationwide, along with Sleep Pink retail displays at select Walmart stores.
