"Proceeds from this sold-out event will help to maintain our programming needs and enable us to assist disadvantaged women with both job preparation and employment retention."

All of us know someone who has been affected by circumstances requiring women to join or return to the workforce, all while going through some of the most trying times of their lives. Our Dress for Success clients come to us from a continually expanding and diverse group of non-profit and government agencies including homeless shelters, immigration services, job training programs, educational institutions and domestic violence shelters, among many other organizations.

While we may be best known for providing suits to women, it is our employment retention programs that are the cornerstone of the organization. Soon after Dress for Success was founded, it was apparent that finding work is only one step in a woman's journey towards economic independence; remaining employed and building a rewarding career are essential if a woman is to become self-sufficient. Proceeds from "A Heel of a Good Time" Gala will go towards funding all of Dress for Success Toronto's programming needs.

Our sold out "A Heel of a Good Time!" Gala will be held at the Bata Shoe Museum located at 327 Bloor St. West in Toronto beginning at 6:00 pm. The gala is an evening where attendees can Strut the Red Carpet in their "Most Memorable Shoes" while joining like-minded young professionals, friends, business associates and the community for an enjoyable evening to raise funds for a great cause.
