VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) - Bolero Resources Corp. (the "Company" or "Bolero"), (TSX-V: BRU), (FRANKFURT: U7N1) announces it has received permits from the B.C. Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources to conduct a diamond drill program on its Carbonatite Syndicate Rare Earth prospect north of Prince George, British Columbia. Drilling is scheduled to commence shortly, following the interpretation of preliminary data from the airborne AeroTEM and Radiometric surveys currently being flown.

Property Map:

The company has recently completed several soil grids over high priority targets that revealed concentrations for Cerium (Ce) and Lanthanum (La) that run up to 631 ppm and 377 ppm respectively, with 20 samples showing total Rare Earth contents above 1000 ppm. Pathfinder elements such as Niobium (Nb) and Barium (Ba) also show distinct elevated concentrations against background. High priority drill targets are being identified using soil assays results combined with data from the airborne AeroTEM and Radiometric surveys.

Bolero Resources' President and CEO, R. Bruce Duncan, stated "Bolero would like to thank all involved in the timely permitting which included the McLeod Lake Indian Band, Mackevoy Geosciences Inc. and Dr. Jon Belhumeur. We have recently confirmed the presence of Rare Earth Elements on the Carbonatite Syndicate prospect and now that drill permits have been granted, drilling will commence in the near future, following the interpretation of the data from our AeroTEM and Radiometric surveys, now being flown. This is an exciting time for Bolero as we have recently identified significant coincident IP and Geochem anomalies on our "Red Chris South" prospect, contiguous to Imperial Metals Corporation (III - TSX) Red Chris copper-gold property and we anticipate work to commence shortly on our newly acquired White Gold District/Stewart River, Yukon Gold prospect in close proximity to recently announced discoveries by Kaminak Gold Corporation (KAM - TSX.V) Kinross Gold Corporation (K - TSX)."

The Carbonatite Syndicate prospect consists of 57 claims covering approximately 56,000 acres and is accessible by all weather gravel roads. It is approximately 80km north east of Prince George, BC, along the Rocky Mountain trench, a major continental geologic feature which is now recognized for its numerous potentially economic, concentrations of rare metals. The Carbonatite Syndicate prospect is the largest contiguous land package and surrounds Spectrum Mining's "Wicheeda" Rare Earth discovery on the South, East, and Western fronts.

Spectrum Mining Corporation's neighboring "Wicheeda" property recently announced drill hole intersections of 48.64 meters of 3.55% combined rare earth elements (REE), 144 meters of 2.2% combined REEs and 72 meters of 2.92% REE's. All intersections were collared in mineralization and assays were given in total elemental REE's which understate actual REE oxide content. (Minerals South Conference and Trade Show in late 2009)

Mineral analysis on 2009 drill core by Dr. Anthony Mariano, a recognized authority on REE's, indicated that the primary REE's are contained in coarse grained monazite and a bastnesite-synchistite-parasite mineral. Dr. Mariano also conducted a bench scale heavy liquid and magnetic separation study on a composite sample of Wicheeda drill core and was able to produce a high grade REE concentrate that contained 56.09 wt. % REE.

Dr. Roger Steininger, Ph.D., CPG (AIPG), a Company Director, is the "Qualified Person" (as such term is defined by NI 43-101) responsible for the preparation of the technical information in this release.
