Drilling Extends Area 107 at Kinbauri's El Valle Project Drills 24g Au/t and 2.5% Cu Over 3.5 Metres

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2007) - Kinbauri Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:KNB) ("Kinbauri") is pleased to announce the third set of assay results from its on-going 7,000 metre drill program at the El Valle project in northwestern Spain. Kinbauri continues to be on track toward defining sufficient resources to allow recommencement of production, given reasonable conversion to reserves. Definition drilling will commence in October. Area 107 and Black Skarn North are being targeted for their continuity of gold and copper mineralization and proximity to the existing mining and milling infrastructure. Results from the four holes are summarized below: .

Drill holes 07KV1020, 07KV1018 and 07KV1017 indicate that Area 107 (hosting high grade epithermal mineralization) extends a minimum of 150 metres SE of Area 107 as previously defined by Rio Narcea Gold Mines, Ltd. (See Schedule A). In addition, 07KV1021, drilled 50 meters west of 07KV1020, shows structural overprinting on skarn mineralization that characterize Area 107 and similar to that recorded at 07KV1009 (11.10g Au/t and 0.46% Cu over 25.5 metres) and 07KV1020; confirmation of gold/copper contents are awaiting assays. Taken together with previously reported assays (Kinbauri's releases of July 19th, 2007 and August 22nd, 2007), the present results indicate a total strike length of over 800 metres for the Area 107 gold-bearing structure.

Drill hole 07KV1019 targeted the westward extension of Black Skarn North ("NBS"). Underground development to be completed in the next quarter will allow better assessment of how the mineralization encountered in 07KV1019 relates to that in Black Skarn North (Val 1001: 3.20g Au/t and 0.50% Cu over 46.3 meters; approximately 30m east of 07KV1019) and Black Skarn West (Val 1033: 3.73g Au/t and 0.53% Cu over 53.9m; approximately 30m west of 07KV1019).

The on-going underground drill program will be completed by late September. Underground development during the next quarter will provide drill platforms to allow further exploration and definition of Area 107 and the Black Skarn zones. The drill program were being supervised by Mr. Santiago Gonzalez, Kinbauri Espana's Senior Geologist, with quality control being provided by Dr. C. F. Gleeson, P. Eng., Kinbauri's Vice-President of Exploration: both are qualified persons as defined by N.I. 43-101. Details of Kinbauri's Quality Assurance Program are reported in the press release of July 19th, 2007. The Quality Assurance Program for RNGM's drill holes are reported in their press release of January 20th, 2006.

This press release was prepared by Dr. V. N. Rampton, P. Eng in his capacity as a qualified person. Dr. Rampton will record a "Beyond The Press Release" on the Company's official Investor Relations Site at, where these developments will be discussed in detail. The recording is expected to be available on or after September 13th, 2007.

About Kinbauri: Kinbauri is a TSXV - Tier 1 mineral exploration company focused on the development of precious metal prospects in northwestern Spain, Nevada and Canada. Its immediate focus is to expand and upgrade resources to reserves at the El Valle property in Asturias, Spain with a view to recommencement of operations at the mine and mill complex there. It currently has 43,372,320 common shares issued and outstanding; 67,056,236, fully diluted.

About Kinbauri's Targets at El Valle: The El Valle project was first identified in 1992 when several areas having significant gold mineralization were discovered. After the 1996 Feasibility Study by RNGM, additional gold deposits were discovered, including Area 107, Black Skarn North, Sienna, Charnela, Charnela South, Caolinas and Area 208. These discoveries indicate that the El Valle area has excellent potential for discovery of additional gold mineralization. Some locations may have potential to combine the mining of large tonnage, low grade deposits concurrently with lower tonnage, high grade deposits.

Kinbauri is targeting Area 107 and Black Skarn North at El Valle in its on-going exploration program as these zones have the potential for rapid delineation of reserves to support a mining operation, due to their proximity to existing mine workings and continuity of mineralization. As of March 21, 2007 Ore Reserves Engineering in a NI 43-101 compliant technical report estimated indicated resources of 12,000 ounces gold (38,000 tonnes at 9.8g Au/t) and inferred resources of 342,000 ounces gold (913,000 tonnes at 11.6g Au/t) for Area 107 and inferred resources of 73,000 ounces gold and 5,000 tonnes copper (445,000 tonnes at 5.1g Au/t and 1% Cu) for Black Skarn North. Drilling of Area 107 by Kinbauri has extended high grade mineralization at depth and to the north and south, whereas drilling of Black Skarn North has focused on extending the continuity of the mineralization to the east and west.
