Drilling started on Monster Copper's Mustang Lake Uranium Property, Labrador

RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 2, 2005) - Monster Copper Corp. ("Monster Copper") (TSX VENTURE:MNS) is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on its Mustang Lake Property. Monster Copper's 100% owned Bruce River and Mustang Lake properties, which collectively cover 28,675 hectares and are located in the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador, are under option to Santoy Resources Ltd. ("Santoy")(TSX VENTURE:SAN). The Mustang Lake property is located 8 km NE of the Michelin uranium deposit, where a historic resource ((i)see footnote) of 6.4 million tonnes of 0.13% U3O8 (18.3 million lbs. of uranium) has been identified.

Monster Copper has been advised by Santoy that drilling has commenced on the Mustang Lake property with a minimum of a combined 1000 metres planned for the Irving and South Prospect zones.

Drilling is focussing on the interpreted bedrock source of two significant boulder trains of uraniferous boulders (the Irving and South Prospect zones) originally identified by Brinex in the 1970's. Recent field investigations completed by Santoy confirm the mineralized nature and distribution of radioactive boulders and Santoy has submitted samples for assay. The conclusion from Santoy's investigation, which included a detailed examination by an experienced Pleistocene geologist, is that the bedrock source of the boulders is local and that the historic (unsuccessful) drilling by Brinex was within the boulder train, not at the up-ice apex or bedrock source.

Santoy plans to keep the drill and camp on site to recommence drilling in late February or early March when conditions permit. This will allow the drilling to proceed in muskeg areas while they are frozen.
