Drilling Starts & Professionals Join Stingray Team

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 3, 2007) - Stingray Resources Inc. ("Stingray or the Company") (TSX VENTURE:SRY)(TSX VENTURE:SRY.WT) is pleased to announce that drilling will begin at the El Pilar Copper Property in Sonora Mexico. The first drill is being mobilized to the property and will begin drilling next week. This drill will be followed a week later by a second drill which will begin drilling immediately upon arrival.

Stingray has engaged two key mining professionals to assist at the Company's El Pilar Copper Project. Joe Keane P. Eng., has joined the Company in the capacity of Technical Advisor and has agreed to stand for election at the Company's next annual meeting of shareholders. Moreover, Richard McRae has also joined the Stingray team as a Technical Advisor. Both of these individuals have significant specialized experience in solvent extraction-electrowinning (SX-EW) of copper cathode. In fact, Mr. Keane taught the SME short course on oxide copper for 10 years!"

Joe Keane is a well known Metallurgist and Process Engineer based in Tucson, Arizona with 45 years of experience in the mineral industry. Mr. Keane graduated from the Montana School of Mines with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering and then went on to earn an M.S. in Mineral Processing Engineering. His resume is extensive and distinguished with experience in countries throughout the world including work with the World Bank (IFC). Most people know Joe for his work and direction at KD Engineering and Metcon Research Inc. where he was the President of both companies since the early 1980's. Joe has worked on numerous feasibility studies both for companies and investment bankers. Prior to KD/Metcon he worked for Pincock Allen & Holt, Inc., Mountain States Mineral Enterprises, Moly Corp., and Chile Exploration Company. Mr. Keane's "hands-on" approach and significant experience with process design, engineering supervision, feasibility studies and mineral processing will make him a key contributor to Stingray's efforts.

Richard McRae, is a Mechanical Engineer based in Tucson, Arizona and has spent over 40 years in executive management, project management, evaluation, design engineering, budget control, construction, plant commissioning and start-up of operations relating to ore processing and metallurgical facilities. Mr. McRae was the founder and President of E&C International which was acquired by Bateman Engineering Inc. of South Africa. Mr. McRae's history includes working for and with Kerr-McGee Chemical Corporation, Brown and Root Inc., Phelps Dodge Corporation, Iranian Copper Industries Company, Compania Minera de Cananea and Ralph M. Parsons Corporation. Recent work experiences relate to the study, design engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of several copper mining operations. These specific experiences with SX-EW copper projects will make Mr. McRae a great asset for Stingray's El Pilar Copper Property.

Stingray is a copper resource company that is focused on the development of the El Pilar Copper Property located in Sonora, Mexico. The Company intends to start an extensive drill program to further define and expand the reported resource at the El Pilar Copper Project.
