                                           Drilling Update at A238, Mauritania

International uranium company Forte Energy NL (ASX/AIM: FTE; "Forte Energy" or "the Company") is pleased to provide the
following report on the progress of the 5000m Reverse Circulation ("RC") drilling presently underway at its A238 uranium
prospect in the Republic of Mauritania, West Africa.

Since commencement of drilling on the A238 prospect last month, more than 30 holes have been drilled for a total of
2500m. Drilling has initially focussed on confirming the extent of the thick central core that was identified in the
last round of drilling and then on defining the full strike length of the mineralised structure - a strike of over 3.5km
will be covered by this first phase.

This work is expected to be completed within days, and the focus will then shift to better defining the depth extensions
of the main central zone. This will be undertaken with a combination of RC and Diamond drilling. 1,500m diamond drilling
is planned for resource calculation purposes and the diamond rig is expected to mobilise to site within 10 days.

Testing of the new assay process is progressing. The first batch of 530 samples, representing 17 holes, has been
prepared at the new facility in Zourerate and has now been delivered to the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, on Friday.
These samples must now pass through Mauritanian customs before being shipped to Ireland. It is expected that the samples
should arrive at the laboratory in Ireland by the end of next week, after which assay turnaround is expected in the
coming weeks.

We look forward to releasing initial assay results and further progress updates when available.

proximity to Leg Beija Prospect. The 5,000m RC drilling programme carried out in Mauritania in the first half of 2010,
included 35 holes at A238 for a total of 1,444 metres. Holes were drilled to a maximum length of 80 metres (true width
61 metres), with significant intersections including:
