DriveON Team Short-listed to Receive Driver Examination Services RFP


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 5, 2012) - Calian Technologies Ltd. (TSX:CTY) announced today that the DriveON team, in which Calian is a member, has been short-listed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Ontario to participate in the request for proposals (RFP) to deliver high quality driver examination services, while upgrading and maintaining the IT systems at all DriveTest centres across the province. DriveON was one of three teams short-listed to participate in the RFP process. The DriveON Team is made up of:

  • Macquarie Capital Group Limited
  • Calian Ltd.
  • Canada Post Corporation

The process is currently in a very early stage. Once additional information is provided through the RFP documents, the DriveON team will evaluate the overall scope of work and determine the extent of each member's participation.

It is not Calian's normal practice to issue press releases related to bidding opportunities. However, due to the fact that the above information was recently released by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Ontario, the Company determined that it was in the best interest to ensure that such information was provided to all shareholders.
