DriveScale Announces Manufacturing and Investment Partnership With Ingrasys, a Subsidiary of Foxconn

Relationship Will Accelerate DriveScale's Expansion Plan, Providing Financial Support and High-Quality Volume Manufacturing Capability for DriveScale's Hardware Offering

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - May 19, 2016) - DriveScale, the company that is pioneering flexible, scale-out computing for the enterprise using standard servers and commodity storage, announced a supplier agreement with Ingrasys, a wholly owned subsidiary of Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest electronics manufacturer, which serves top-tier hardware companies. Ingrasys also invested in DriveScale's Series A financing round (see today's news), co-developed the DriveScale hardware product line and is the company's hardware equipment supplier.

"DriveScale's partnership with Ingrasys is deep and multifaceted. In addition to investing in our angel and Series A rounds, they also co-designed and are the manufacturer of our DriveScale Adapter product -- an eminently 'enterprise ready' piece of gear," said Gene Banman, CEO at DriveScale. "DriveScale's partnership with the world's leading outsourced manufacturing company in this era of computer commoditization is a major coup. It will allow us to grow our products and services quickly, knowing that we can maintain the highest level of manufacturing quality no matter how fast we grow."

Its platform consists of tightly integrated software services and hardware which together provide the manageability, flexibility and optimization that are a base requirement to manage scale-out data center operations (see today's product announcement). The DriveScale partnership with Ingrasys ensures and enhances the enterprise readiness of its hardware.
