DrivingDonations Launches to Raise Money for Over 1.2 Million Charities

Automotive Retailer Zag Makes Platform Available Free of Charge to Charities So Consumers Can Save on Their Next Car and Support Their Favorite Cause

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2009) - Zag.com Inc. (www.zag.com), the provider of auto-buying programs for several of the nation's largest brands, today announced the launch of their philanthropic website, DrivingDonations (www.drivingdonations.com) -- a new online car-buying program that helps charitable organizations raise money while helping consumers save money on their next car. Through DrivingDonations, car shoppers can save an average of $4,500 off of manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) on new cars with incentives -- all while enjoying the benefits of group-buying power and an exclusive online car-buying experience, typically reserved for large member groups with over 500,000 members. In addition, car shoppers receive great pricing on the car of their choice before being contacted by a dealer.

When consumers decide to purchase a new or used car through DrivingDonations, Zag will donate $50 to the charity of their choice. At launch, consumers can choose from more than 1.2 million charitable organizations to support. This program is free for all organizations as well as its supporters and is managed by Zag.

"This innovative new program brings charitable organizations and a powerful car buying service together to benefit all involved," said Kasey Soll, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Zag. "Organizations now have a new and no-cost way to fundraise during tough times while their supporters will save money and feel good about helping make a difference."

Supporters can visit the DrivingDonations website and search from over 1.2 million local, regional and national charities to support and upon their purchase of a car, $50 will be donated to their charity of choice.

DrivingDonations is powered by Zag, which operates the car buying platforms for over 30 top brands including USAA, many AAA clubs, Capital One, and Overstock.com. On average, Zag's online car buying programs have saved consumers over one-hundred million dollars to date on new cars. Consumers leverage Zag's group-buying power to get lower prices from its nationwide network of certified dealers, while those buyers are still online.

DrivingDonations has also made it easy for an organization to generate awareness to their supporters by giving organizations that choose to partner with Zag a variety of free marketing materials, including custom e-mail announcements, advertising homepage banners and a dedicated URL which will take supporters directly to the organization's auto-buying homepage.
