Ducks Unlimited Canada Teams Up With Winery

OAK HAMMOCK MARSH, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2014) - Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is pleased to announce a new, Ontario-based partnership with Fowles "Are You Game?" Wine and their import agent, Von Terra Enterprises Ltd.

For a four-week promotional period, beginning September 15, Fowles Wine will donate $1 to DUC per every bottle of Fowles Wine's "Are You Game?" Shiraz and Chardonnay sold in LCBO stores across Ontario. Funds raised will go towards DUC's important wetland conservation work.

"Ducks Unlimited Canada is proud to have both Fowles Wine and Von Terra Enterprises on board as new corporate partners," says Elizabeth Wilson, DUC National Manager of Corporate Business Development. "By donating $1 from every bottle of "Are You Game?" Shiraz and Chardonnay sold, they are supporting our wetland conservation efforts so we will be able to continue to conserve Canada's outdoor spaces. The commitment of forward thinking corporate partners like Fowles Wine and Von Terra Enterprises has helped our organization conserve 6.4 million acres of wetlands, and we are excited to see this partnership take flight throughout 2014."

Wetlands provide many important environmental benefits. These marshes and ponds help filter our drinking water and protect our landscapes from harmful floods and drought. They also provide vital habitat for thousands of species of plants and animals and offer outdoor playgrounds for a variety of recreational activities.

But despite these benefits, up to 80 acres of wetlands are lost every day across Canada. The generous support of organizations like Fowles Wine and Von Terra Enterprises Ltd. will help stop this loss.

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is the leader in wetland conservation. A registered charity, DUC partners with government, industry, non-profit organizations and landowners to conserve wetlands that are critical to waterfowl, wildlife and the environment. Learn more at www.ducks.ca.
