Duke Energy to Award Siemens EPC Contract for Thermoelectric Power Plant in Peru, an Industrial Info News Alert

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--(Marketwire - September 9, 2008) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Duke Energy Egenor (Lima), Duke Energy Corporation's (NYSE:DUK) (Charlotte, North Carolina) subsidiary in Peru, plans to start up the new 197-megawatt Las Flores thermoelectric power plant during the first quarter of 2010. Siemens AG (Munich, Germany) will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the project, although a final contract has not yet been finalized.
