Duluth Metals Limited Extends Mineralization 900 Feet in NE Quadrant With Higher PGM Values

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 30, 2006) - Duluth Metals Limited ("DM") (TSX:DM) is pleased to announce that it has received drilling results from a seventh hole within the mineralization on its Maturi Extension Property. MEX-007 was collared 900 feet north of DU-04 and 1800 feet north-northwest of MEX-003, and intersected 0.824 % copper, 0.275% nickel and 1.523 grams per tonne precious metals over a core length of 65 feet within a total mineralized interval of 255 feet.

Dr. Henry "Rick" Sandri, President and CEO of DM commented "The results of MEX-7 confirm a major northern extension of 900 feet from DU-4. These higher PGM and base metal values help solidify our Eastern Exploration Area which complements our confirmation drilling program in the Western Area, where we intend to qualify an inferred resource with our current Fall/Winter drill program".

Estimated true width of the intercepts is approximately 90% of core length. Drill hole location is shown on the map below. (Please click on the following link: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/duluth.pdf)

Half core samples were prepared at ALS Chemex Ltd. Laboratories in Thunder Bay and then shipped to its analytical facilities in Vancouver. Samples were analyzed for Au, Pt, Pd using a standard fire assay with an ICP finish and for 27 base metals and trace elements using a four acid (near total) digestion and a combination of ICPMS and ICPAES. ICP overlimits were re-analyzed using sodium peroxide fusion, acid dissolution followed by ICPAES.
