Duncan/Channon Taps Award-Winning Creative, Brian Bacino, to Bolster Team and Creative Offering

Addition of Veteran Creative Director Latest Example of Agency's Recent Growth and Momentum

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 7, 2011) - Integrated advertising agency Duncan/Channon announces today that industry veteran, Brian Bacino, will join the team as a creative director. Bacino brings wide experience developing effective creative for iconic brands, most recently heading up creative at Swirl Integrated Marketing and, before that, at DraftFCB in San Francisco. His balanced approach has combined visual nuance and a clever voice to create award-winning campaigns for brands like Levi's 501s, Levi Strauss Signature, Dockers San Francisco, Hilton Hotels, MTV, eBay, Fox Sports, Sega and the World Champion San Francisco Giants.

"Not only am I looking forward to working with an amazing group of advertising pros in a highly creative atmosphere, I'm excited about the opportunity to be at an agency so clearly at an inflection point," said Bacino. "Duncan/Channon has built this amazing momentum over the last three years, and I'm thrilled to help take it over the top."

In addition to Duncan/Channon's recent appointment as agency of record for Blurb, the agency is expanding its relationship with StubHub! in 2011 and continues with extensive branding and national TV work for Esurance. The agency will tap Bacino's expertise to further enhance its creative offering and sustain its remarkable growth.

But even as the agency adds to its client roster, hires talent across all departments and expands its San Francisco offices, Duncan/Channon's work remains outstanding. Recently, the agency was named a Gold winner in the Graphis 100 Best in Advertising 2011 Book and recognized as one of only five finalists for the American Association of Advertising Agencies' O'Toole Award in the Small Agency category for the third year in a row.

"I think Brian Bacino's exactly what Duncan/Channon needs as we continue to break out of the pack," said Robert Duncan, executive creative director and partner. "He's an old friend and colleague from our FCB days, but also happens to be one of the great imaginations in this industry. Having created beautiful branding work, comprehensive integrated campaigns and hardworking retail ads during his exceptional career, he brings us a rare range of expertise."

Bacino has received almost every major advertising industry award, including a Gold Lion at Cannes, a Clio, a Telly, several Effies and the ANDY Award of Excellence from the Art Directors Club. Most recently, as executive creative director at Swirl, Bacino was responsible for online, event, print, POS, direct mail, TV and experiential campaigns for the San Francisco Giants, eBay, Skype, PG&E, Coinstar, Lennar New Home Builders, Jamba Juice, Oakland Raiders, eBay Motors, Trumer Pils, AAA and Cisco's WebEx division. Prior to Swirl, he spent nearly 18 years in creative roles at DraftFCB in San Francisco, culminating in his appointment to the top creative position. During that time, he created widely honored campaigns for Levi's 501, Levi's Wide leg, Levi's Youthwear, Dockers, MTV, Fox Sports, Zima, Coors and Sega Dreamcast.

Bacino actually began his career as an account executive at Lintas: NY, working on Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson and IBM, giving the longtime creative director a unique perspective on strategy. This perspective later served him well on results-driven clients like Taco Bell, Payless Shoes, Clorox and SC Johnson.
