Dundee Sustainable Technologies Inc. Establishes Technological Showcase

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 7, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Christian Paradis, Member of Parliament for Mégantic-L'Érable and Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced funding for Dundee Sustainable Technologies (DST) to intensify its business development and commercialize its innovative processes and technologies resulting from R&D.

The assistance announced today is being provided in the form of a $900,000 repayable contribution through the CED Quebec Economic Development Program's Canadian Economic Diversification Initiative for Communities Reliant on Chrysotile.

• Founded in 1997, Dundee Sustainable Technologies develops and commercializes processes and technologies with applications in the mining sector.
• DST's base and precious metal extraction technology, which helps the global industry comply with environmental regulations, is the outcome of 15 years of major investment in R&D.
• The project aims to complete an industrial-scale demonstration plant so as to make DST's technology known and facilitate the sale of licences.
• CED's contribution will permit the conversion of a modular ore concentrator, equipment that helps substantially reduce the volume of unwanted, valueless minerals which accompany the main material being mined.
