Dutch Gold Resources Updates Company Progress Commences 2007 Production Program

ATLANTA, GA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 13, 2007 -- Dutch Gold Resources, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DGRI) (the "Company"), a developer and operator of proven gold mines and regional mills in North America, today updated shareholders on the progress of its operations.

Since completing the acquisition of Dutch Mining, LLC in January of this year, the Company has focused its efforts on upgrading the infrastructure of the Benton Mine, a gold mine located near Grants Pass, Oregon, with proven and probable reserves in excess of 235,000 ounces of gold. Over the last eight weeks, there have been significant improvements to the mine itself, which the Company anticipates should accelerate production efforts over the next three quarters.

Dan Hollis, Chief Executive Officer of Dutch Gold Resources, stated, "Since January, we have been focused on building the foundations for our 2007 Ore Production Program. We have completed major upgrades that will allow us to produce greater quantities of ore over the coming months. In addition, we have begun the process of hiring and training new miners, to take advantage of improved weather conditions. Further, we are looking at all aspects of our operations, in order to maximize the yield that we generate from each ton of ore. These developments complete our infrastructure plan, and we have now begun commercial production."

Despite unusually high snowfall, the Company has produced month over month increases in ore production. DGRI anticipates significantly higher ore production throughout Spring 2007 and the balance of 2007, as a result of a larger complement of mining personnel and improved road conditions and the mine improvements that have been implemented year-to-date.

The Company operates the Benton Mine, and expects to reopen the Gold Bug mine, which it owns, later this year. Its strategy is to focus on overlooked resources which can be quickly and cost-efficiently brought into production. "We believe that we can create significant current revenue from the Benton Mine during 2007, and add to our throughput with the Gold Bug Mine in 2008," said Mr. Hollis. Additionally, the Company will evaluate similar opportunities throughout the United States.
