DWR and USBR Schedule Urban Drought Workshops

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2009) - The California Department of Water Resources and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation announce three March workshops to help urban water suppliers address continuing dry conditions.

The workshops will help suppliers review and revise their drought water usage plans and prepare for rationing, if necessary. At each workshop, guest speakers will share local experiences, challenges, and solutions in coping with water shortages in their regions. The meetings are a continuation of similar workshops hosted by the two water agencies last year.

Workshops begin at 9:30 a.m. and end by 3 p.m.
