Dynamic Materials Appoints Ian Grieves as General Manager of DYNAenergetics Segment


BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - Jan 8, 2013) - Dynamic Materials Corporation (DMC) (NASDAQ: BOOM) today announced Ian Grieves has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president and general manager at DYNAenergetics, the Company's oilfield products segment.

Grieves, 44, joins the Company with more than 20 years of diverse operational, engineering, finance and management experience with multiple international industrial businesses. He previously spent seven years with Lydall, Inc., where he most recently was senior vice president of the company's $130 million Performance Materials division. Grieves was responsible for a wide range of commercial and engineering activities, including research and development, product management, marketing and sales to a diverse spectrum of industrial end markets.

While at Lydall, Grieves marshaled a number of strategic initiatives, including the launch of a major product offering, the successful restructuring of a business unit and the integration of a strategic acquisition.

He also spent 13 years with AAF International, one of the leading providers of advanced air filtration systems. Grieves ascended through the company's European business to ultimately become vice president and general manager of AAF Europe. He was responsible for three divisions and multiple operating sites across Europe, the Middle East and China.
